I need help thinking through additional questions I should be asking myself and the interview team as I evaluate two slightly different but both attractive opportunities. More details in comments.
So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
Wondering if anyone has suggestions for welcoming a new Director to our company.
My boss suggested bright colored balloons, but I feel like that's too childish. What are some professional, classy ways to say, "welcome to the team, we're glad you're here"?
I'm going with a greeting card signed by HR and his boss.
Any other thoughts?

What are you reading? I used to voraciously read Business books - the gullup strengths-finder series, The Speed of Trust, Critical Conversations, Who Moved my Cheese, etc. Them I took a 10 year break from HR. What’s inspiring you and your team out there?
I was asked to make a 30 60 90 for a sale. I feel like it's kind of basic and find my 60 and 90 slides are sparse. Anyone able to offer suggestions? Really appreciate it!!

Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?
Where are you located and where does payroll live in your company, and what size/industry?
I'm in Ontario Canada, small (75 ppl tech firm) and payroll has always sat in finance. In prev other small and mid sized tech companies has been the same, payroll is in finance. Our new American finance leader wants it to move to HR and I absolutely do not want payroll, nor is my team capable of doing payroll, even with training. It's not standard from what I've seen, but curious what others experience is
Currently an HRBP who got back from Mat leave April 2022. Came back to a new manager who I know from before Mat leave. While I was away, another hrbp was hired so now theres three hrbps in the business group I support. My manager is having a hard time developing me and her focus is on the new hrbp and doesn’t always involve me in things. Sends me things here and there if she doesn’t want to bug the other hrbp with easier things so I’m feeling left out. If i rely on her for my development…
I have a team member who has a tendency to miss deadlines, is reluctant to take on tasks which they don't like or refuses to participate in company-wide mandates w/o me & the other team members validating the why's. Prior to joining my team, this behavior was alluded to but never told to me directly. Now I'm seeing it. I've discussed missed deadlines which are acknowledged but w/o permanent resolution. I'm going to give her a verbal warning in the upcoming review. Other suggestions?

For those of us whose start dates have gotten pushed back and/or are concerned that offers may be rescinded entirely: what interim jobs are you looking to get in the meantime? I’m seeing many people saying they are going to recruit again/look at back up options, but I don’t really understand what makes sense in this situation. Thanks!
Any openings in IQVIA for entry level analyst?
And what is the current scenario WFH or WFO?
What would be a good way to find an entry level APM position? I am transitioning careers from nonprofit so it has been quite difficult. I would truly appreciate any advice or help that can be given, or even mentorship. I am a working professional so I’m not eligible for internships since they are looking for current students/new grads. I would very much like to be given the chance to learn and gain firsthand skills to be a great PM.
I'm currently looking for referrals on cyber security. I am working as a security analyst in TCS. Any leads would be helpful
AITA? I’m a 8th year attorney working at a boutique PI firm, resolving around $30m-$40 million a year. Average case value is above $1m. But I’m also being assigned lower value cases in the low six figures. From my perspective, these eat up my time and leave me with less time to focus on the high value cases I manage. AITA to ask the partner for some kind of value threshold to let me focus on those larger cases? There are younger associates at the firm who would love the work.

I transitioned jobs from a consulting firm to a startup burning lots of cash. It was a different ball game, trying to manage runway and measure our efficiency while running at a big loss. I decided to write about 3 ways you can manage your burn in this market environment (cash runway, rule of 40 and burn rate) https://www.mostlymetrics.com/p/can-you-take-the-heat?s=r
Is it bad to go into an interview with notes?
I have a one pager of points/questions I'd like to hit on, but I don't want to look over the top.
I have been traveling on SWA a lot for work and have used the “double points” promo to rack up some
Points. I’ll likely have around 45,000 points towards the companion pass this year. Is it worth getting the two Chase cards and getting 40,000 points each and pursuing the Companion pass?
Fwiw - I’m an A-lister until 2018 December. And I currently have a SW credit card which I got 3 ago which I intend to close.
I had a data vendor/measurement rep say to me today “I’d rather work with you than against you, but I will work against you” in his sales pitch today and I’m honestly not even entirely sure what to do
