The relocation amount is based on your grade. We have policy here for each grade. You can stay 2 weeks in hotel and claim the same. No worries. In fact you can claim Deposit for flat, Brokerage, flight tickets, hotel stay etc...everything. don't worry about all this

Once you get your offer letter. Plan that accordingly. In ofer letter, your relocation lumpsum amount will be mentioned.
But relocation allowance will come with first salary automatically like a foed amount mentioned in offer letter? Or one needs to claim it and only the claim amount will come?
Also, can one move his/her family later like after 3-4 months and for now move alone? Will the relocation allowance be still valid for family members?

No, you have 3 month's window period to claim your relocation. No need to submit any bills. Just a form fill all details take approval from manager on that form and send it to HR for payment. If you submit before 15th of the month, then you will be getting the amount along with salary for that same month.

You can move alone and family later, that's upto you. But no need to tell HR all this , just fill the form and submit. Bills are not required.
