Anyone else super anxious about upcoming recession and potential layoffs? New hire and feel like I walk on egg shells 24/7 when I’m in the office

Mass layoffs coming to Deloitte Canada. Everything set, including date and compensation to pay. It is termed as “New Operating Model”. Basically it is restructuring of organisation.

I just landed a full time role in creative at an agency but I have PTSD from my last job. I know this is kind of a broad ask, but I could use any advice that would help me not be terrible at work and keep me from getting fired.

Watching Severance…haven't finished it yet. What do you guys think? Psychologically separating your work life from your home life. Smart or insane? Would you do it? Barring the ethical complications lol

Seeing all these Deloitte "tellyourstory" posts on LinkedIn and no one is telling their story about the forced pay cuts or unnecessary layoffs.

I’ve just learnt that my SO had reported on her creepy manager at a startup few years ago and got herself fired 2-3 weeks later. They asked her to signed some sort of NDA to collect severance. Does anyone know what type of legal assistance she can still look for if any? Any advice much appreciated.

Anyone here familiar with the hiring process of KPMG consulting in Van? Had a partner interview on Nov 21, thought the feedback was positive but haven't heard back yet (no rejection/offer). Is it something normal or the interview just didn't go as well as I thought?

It's an experienced hire for an SC role. I saw the posting is still open atm, and my guess is that the recruiting team is comparing candidates since competition is higher due to recent layoffs.

Wasn't sure if I should post this in Federal, but just got hired to GPS. I received a interim clearance for a public trust. My biggest concern is that I was fired from my first job after college. I was actually very shocked that I got the interim without any questioning.

My question is what does D do if you can't get a trust? Do they fire you?I want to know because I am starting to consider to move, but don't want to move to DC and not have a job...

I know agencies across the board did some layoffs right before the holidays, but when do we think hiring will pick up again? Getting to a point where I feel like I need to start thinking about a change.

Why do we do it?

I’ve been laid off from every advertising job I’ve ever had. I was one of the first people in my graduating class to get hired. I worked on TV before any of my peers...

I work at a BL firm in NYC. My firm recently hired a paralegal manager has zero experience in corporate (her most recent position is a realtor in Miami Beach, nobody knows WTH how she got hired). Because she has no experience, she doesn’t know what each paralegal can handle here. She constantly send me IP or real estate work (I’m a private equity paralegal). I sent her a list of what type of work I do but she completely ignored my email. What should I do?

If I work in FDD but am moving to work at a client that I do not work on at all will I be able to stay after I put in my 2 weeks? Or do I have to immediately leave?

I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions.
