One thing that really helps me is to write down the struggles I’m going through right now and how I need God to show up, then I try to find at least three things that I’m thankful for/good things in my life each day. It helps me look back to see all the ways God came through for me before and help me trust that He’ll do it again, despite how much worst I think my problems are right now. Also, it helps me rejoice and thank Him because He is just sooooo good and remind me that He’s always good regardless of my circumstance.
OP - you Da real MVP. I’m right there with you. I woke up this morning kind of desperate for God to move or provide me with clarity so I can ease my mind. Your post and this thread was exactly what I needed to read. Thank you for sharing your love, kindness, and struggle and let’s let God be glorified. I recently ended a toxic relationship that I didn’t realize was toxic until I stepped away from it. I always questioned if I did something wrong, but looking back I did everything I could to show this person love and Christ. I’m experiencing some health problems that I feel I’m too young to experience at my age and I’m battling through it. I’m praying the same prayer as you....That Gods will be done, that He be glorified, that I obey and surrender all to Him, and that I trust Him through every situation. I’m bookmarking this thread. Know that you and the others on this thread are in my prayers right now. And I’m praying for the guidance and provision of God which is better than any roadmap we can find on our own, and the peace of Christ which surpasses all understanding. Thank you and love you!
Me if you could. A lot of things going on in my personal life, but I bury myself in my work because it’s the only thing I’m good at.
To add into that, my church is going through some things and I think I may leave that church. So pray for guidance, peace, and the ability to place my trust in him and not rely on my own abilities.
Could use some prayers as well - on month 6 of a serious high burn (<4h sleep/night) and starting to feel exhausted - realizing that my responses to others are not at graceful as they should be and concerned that it’s impacting my witness on my team. Could use prayers for rest and peace.
C1- if you could please pray over my health - I’ve been experiencing health complications for over two months where I have been unable to figure out what is wrong after going to the doctors 8 times. I have an appt with a neurologist next week, believing it’s just stress/anxiety and nothing serious. Also, to let trust God with the plans that He has for me and to fully surrender everything to Him. Finally, for healing from a toxic relationship that really damaged me. Thank you C1! ☺️
C1- I’m really sorry to hear that! I’ve been there. I will be praying that you get peace and rest (physical and mental rest, but also spiritual rest in him). There was this really good excerpt from Francis Chan’s book that helped me when I was going through my hard season. Will post it in a separate comment!
When I am consumed by my problems, stressed out about my life, my family, and my job, I actually convey the belief that I think the circumstances are more important than God’s command to always rejoice. In other words, that I have a “right” to disobey God because of the magnitude of my responsibilities.
Worry implies that we don’t quite trust that God is big enough, powerful enough, or loving enough to take care of what’s happening in our lives. Stress says that the things we are involved in are important enough to merit our impatience, our lack of grace toward others, or our tight grip of control.
Basically, these two behaviors communicate that it’s okay to sin and not trust God because the stuff in my life is somehow exceptional. Both worry and stress reek of arrogance. They declare our tendency to forget that we’ve been forgiven, that our lives here are brief, that we are headed to place where we won’t be lonely, afraid, or hurt ever again, and that in the context of God’s strength, our problems are small, indeed.
Why are we so quick to forget God? Who do we think we are?

Prayer is our greatest weapon to unlock and release the heavenly treasures here on earth (work, family, personal...), nullify any and all attacks of the enemies against God’s people, conquer victory over our lives and others with breakthroughs upon breakthroughs. majority of our struggles and pains are actually spiritual and the only way to fight against it is by courageously taking up the sword of God, which is the word of God, and pray the Word to “attack” the works of the enemies, disempower the toxic spread and holdings on us so that we live as conquerors rather than slaves to a vicious cycle of sin. Prayers is a lethal weapon to the enemies. The prayers of two or more gathered in His name has so much power! Let’s be encouraged and hold on to this Truth!
