Do you feel like your job has caused you to be behind on certain things like caregiving or being a more active/present mother? I certainly do and it's a difficult feeling to process. My kids are way more attached to their dad, and while I'm not jealous in any way of that, it hurts to think I'm missing out on some of the most precious things in life because of how busy I am. Anyone else in this boat with me? What are you doing to feel better?

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? Feeling down. I've interviewed for probably 12 positions (mostly Senior Manager level), and always getting rejected. Is this normal? I do try and ask for feedback, and sometimes they give saying that there just isn't the right fit for your skillset at this time. If so, then why did you interview me? #frustrated
