No. I don't believe so. The initial transaction occurred in your home state, and I don't believe there is a multi-state benefit calculation that can be done.
Well, this would be like no different than an amusement park pass. Let's say I buy an annual pass that allows unlimited visits to Disney parks in California for $5000/ year. No tax is charged in California. Then I move to Florida and use the pass almost exclusively in Florida parks, where they would normally charge tax on the pass. Would disney need to pay anything to FL?
Only if you pay for a day pass…if you use the out of state club almost they might make you switch to that gym
I think it depends where the first use of the item occurs. If you are not charged sales tax in a state and the first use is in another state that imposes sales/use tax then you have to accrue use tax. My state has a threshold for individual use tax reporting.
