CA is consumer friendly and always exploring ways to give people access to legal services. However, this setup has way more skeptics than supporters. CA has like 20 accredited law schools and another 20 unaccredited. Majority of those grads become plaintiff lawyers. We have way too many lawyers in this state as it is. No way para-professionals, or whatever, get to start offering legal advice or share the fees. There is no shortage of consumer lawyers here for the public; in fact, there is an abundance.
