Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?

I always include in my demand letter a request that they respond within 30 days. They take such deadlines very seriously (even though it's a deadline I make up, it's not based on any statute in my state). They usually respond with an initial offer within those 30 days. Occasionally they respond with a request for more time or for more information/ documents.
Are you sure they're not contesting liability? Normal turnaround is 30-60 days I would say, depending on insurance company/self insured etc.
Depends on whether the demand is reasonable or insane; on possible medical causation issues; some carriers have attorneys and doctors review this stuff…. There is no specific timeline
Yes the guy admitted 100% fault. He ran a stop sign going 45 in a residential school zone and t-boned my mom who was going through the intersection.
Thank you for that insight.
Coming from ID, adjusters usually address files every 30-60 days. And given the facts, May be talking to management and team leads to request approve settlement authority. Sometimes takes longer to get approval.
Thank you very much for the insight. While I’ve got you here, what are your initial thoughts on the reasonableness of the offer?
100% fault. Admitted. Police report confirms. Eye witnesses co firm. Ran a stop sign going 45-50 mph in a residential/school zone. T boned my mom as she was passing through intersection. Only treated with chiro on a lien. Chiro bill is $2.7. Out of pocket for car rental and repair deductible is $3.5k. Loss of income of $2.2k unable to work her part time job for a few weeks. Factoring in emotional damages, my offer is $22.5k. Would settle for $10k
She was driving a large truck and was hit in the front driver side. She wasn’t hit on the door. She is in great shape and just wasn’t injured beyond a couple months of chiro visits.
The offer did not consider anytbing but “bodily” injury and asked for more documentation for other claims. So I’ve been playing phone tag.
But 4700 does not even cover the chiro and out of pocket costs. So it’s BS
45-90 days in my experience
In GA, by statute, they have exactly 30 days to respond to a demand sent according to the statute.
