I think it's fine. Everything that needs to be covered is covered. You'll probably think about it more than anyone else and if you think it's OK, go for it.
That outfit sounds very nice, but I get wanting to be cautious in a formal setting. When I was new to my firm, I mirrored what senior associates wore until I felt more confident experimenting. But, in Big law reputation matters more than fashion in that world. When I worked in corporate, I always asked myself, “Would a partner comment on this in a bad way?” I wouldn't do it if you don't see them doing it.
If you're asking about it, you know it's questionable, and that's your answer right there. Obviously, law firms may say they're business casual, but they're still going to want to project a very professional vibe in the office. So wearing something you're doubtful about is most likely a pretty bad idea.
If it’s fully covered with a camisole and not drawing attention, I would say it’s fine. I have seen similar outfits in business casual settings, but every firm has its own “unwritten” rules.
Total attention seeking for sure
Not at all, I just happen to see beautiful blouses that happen to be slightly sheer so I’m wondering if it’s a no. Not attention seeking at all, if anything I’m bummer out it’s sheer, but I still think like the blouse because it’s beautiful and want to wear it.
That’s fine. Most women’s blouses are made sheer. That’s the whole point of an undershirt or camisole anyway. As long as you can’t see your bra or there’s not skin showing you’re more than fine.
I think if you’re so unsure you’re questioning it, just don’t. Your instincts may be telling you something.

I would say that’s fine in my opinion but I understand your worry, I would say as long as your comfortable go for it.
I guess it depends how much flesh can be seen. If it's literally like a vest top that covers everything it should be fine. Get an idea from what other woman are wearing in the office.
Sounds perfect in a heat wave. And very nice.
Why would you want to if you have other options?
