How impactful it’s to be SHRM certified?

Hello fellow HR pros! I really need your opinions on HR certifications. I am deciding between PHR and SHRM-cp. I have read just about all there is online comparing the two and can not decide. My heart is telling me PHR, my mother in law (an HRBP) is telling me to go with SHRM, as it’s more widely recognized, more established and a larger network in general. I work for a 350~ company who is growing rapidly through M&A. Passions/interests are compliance, strategic vision, M&A, branding and culture

Recruiter lied about interview process and job type. First interview goes well and interviewer tried to schedule me for in-person interview first thing next morning. I tried to push off into next week and was told it wouldn’t work with timeline. Everything was supposed to be remote, should I keep it moving and go somewhere else?

Looking to advance my career but most places ask if you have full Sales cycle/ closing. How do I gain this experience if current role won’t offer it and new roles require it?

I’m transitioning back into the tech space after working in education the last five years. When applying to a remote Customer Success role, what would be a rough range to ask for salary, bonus, stock options? Quite a few companies are asking for this in applications.

Is it possible to make a million in any sales position? I see so many classes and books on how to be a millionaire by selling. Seems like BS.

I am fairly new to sales (3 years), and I just closed a deal that will pay out twice what I made all of last year ($75k vs $150k). My question is: nobody here can talk to their friends or family about this kind of stuff, right? Do you all disclose to people that you are pulling in $250-$300k in a year? I'm only 25 so I don't want my friends to make me buy all their drinks 😅

I've been in PeopleOps (mostly focused on TA Ops) for over 9 years now. I've somehow gotten by without a degree in HR or a certification, but would like to get some more education to continue to advance my career. What are your thoughts on PHR vs SPHR vs SHRM for someone with my years of experience and current role as a manager?

Currently in Industrial Sales and looking to move to Tech Sales. Is it better to work with a staffing agency or to just start connecting and applying? Austin or Dallas area for reference. Also, any other advice is welcome.

I blacked out and hit on a coworker at a work-related event. I would never have normally done it (aside from the stupid amounts of alcohol in my system) and they are in a committed relationship, making everything so much worse.

No idea how I’m going to interact with them in basically every meeting I have for now until I leave the company.

Hello all, I'm currently in final rounds with Google and TikTok, plus potentially Meta and Blackstone for similar Analyst positions in different business functions. I have 1YOE experience as an L4 BA in Amazon with incoming promotion to L5 at Q2, and was given the top performance rating (TT). There will probably be a pay bump from all offers but not sure if it will beat promo.
