Alvarez & Marsal Likely moving from EY to an M&A tax role at Alvarez & Marsal. I’m wrapping up my third year as a manager at EY in a niche practice. Trying to understand the levels at Alvarez. Should I be shooting for director or senior director? How do the 2 levels really compare to the levels at Big 4? Alvarez & Marsal
EY-Parthenon 🐠, how many years does it typically take to go from director to senior director? I am interviewing for a role in M&A. I am a second year manager with around 12 years of experience (Industry and consulting combined). The recruiter is trying to bring me in as a director and I am trying to figure out if i can be brought in as a third year or fourth-year director. My approach depends on how many years it typically takes to go from director to senior director.
EY-Parthenon 🐠! Looking to exit from a Big 4 M&A IT practice as a Manager to EY-P into the Senior Director role. The person I spoke to let me know that SM at my company was SD at EY-P. I have a soft affiliation to Health and Tech industries. Apparently the SD roles aren’t always formally logged on the Careers page. So, I’m guessing my next step is to network my way in. Could anyone here DM me Principal or SD names that I can connect with. I’ll reach out to them on LinkedIn. Thanks in advance. @
Hello Partners, need some advice. Me 20 yoe, MBA & MS from t20, was a senior manager (associate partner) at B4 for 6 years, in an internal role (e.g EY CBS/ PWC IFS etc) and didn't have a path to partnership, so left b4 & joined large tech (eg. oracle, IBM, Microsoft etc), at a senior director level. Was there for a few years, and now joined FAANG recently in an IC role. $450K TC. I still can't stop thinking about becoming a Partner at B4 or MBB. In mid-40s. Is the PPMD grass greener than FAANG
