Do you wear tights to court with skirts and dresses? I don’t typically, and felt that was kind of antiquated, but recently feeling like instead of wearing spanx (which I do with some form fitting dresses) I would rather wear control top tights that also sort of mask/“put makeup on” my legs? (I got a puppy and I’m all scratched up lol, but also would be nice to not have to worry about stubble etc.) any recs that don’t look like old lady beige nylons?

I wear pantyhose with skirts for important stuff because a judge I saw in law school told me to. They make pretty good ones now that don’t look like too much of anything (does that defeat the purpose? I don’t know), but I don’t think they’ll have the same effect as makeup or masking stubble — more like a subtle tint at best. I like Wolford, and Spanx makes ones with a control top too.

Agree! And Wolford has so many different opacities to experiment with, which is great for time of year (I don’t like when I get chicken skin on my legs in the cold).

Yes. Wolford. Think of it like a man wearing a tie. Unnecessary in most professional setting these days, but part of a conservative dress code.

Sheertex makes great tights! And they’re hole-proof. Very much recommend

I do but I’m an old who grew up in the South. So long as they’re a good quality sheer nude and not L’Eggs suntan pantyhose, I don’t see why anyone would have any objection.

Thank you!

Foundation on your legs has a similar look but more comfortable.

Hi Fishes,
Need help with a tax query.

I am earning 85k/month now. Thinking to purchase a land of around 15L, not just for investment but to build our own house on it in future.

Though I can somehow manage it without taking a land loan. But I was wondering if I can take some to avail tax benefits.

So my doubts are - Can I avail tax benefits (like home loan) before construction? If I take the loan just to enjoy tax benefits then how much loan should I take at most? Have only ~68k EPF in 80C

I am in the Houston area at an energy related tech company as a software engineer. I have been working here a year and a half and got a 10% raise (70->77) but don't know if I am being undervalued. This is my first job in the field but I am evaluated as a top performer and have responsibilities like mentoring other employees and interns, delegating certain work items and make some of our major design decisions as we move forward.

I need help managing a contract transition. I just started working as project manager owning a large system and help manage a team of developers contracted by a different company. Now their contract is ending and I’ve been asked to represent the gov’t as a contractor and make sure the transition goes well. I’ve never been in this position…usually I’m either transitioning in or out. The outgoing isn’t very organized with their knowledge transfer and documentation and want to help them but how?
