I’m graduating in May and was wondering if 45k is a good starting salary for a digital media buyer/planner at a full service ad agency. Would I make more going in-house? What other jobs could I look for with a digital marketing background (1 year of agency internship experience). I also have had an internship in corporate communications.

Wondering what the salary band for a new Sr. Art Director working in a large Pharma agency is nowadays? Asked for 90k- 100k, potential of meeting in the middle. Slightly less experience but good enough to get the job. Should I push for the 100k?

Final round for an LMM fund on the portfolio performance side. Quoted them a 65% higher base salary, and haven't discussed bonus yet.

My accounting/finance skills are weak, but the role is more process enhancement, due diligence, and ad-hoc profitability projects. I also have a decent tech/ops background I can lean on to survive for a while

I’m an aspiring art director and working on my portfolio for junior gigs/ internships. For each project in my portfolio I create 2/3 executions over platforms for instance TVC/Social/ print. There’s one project I created recently for a comp I didn’t win, but thought it would be good to include anyway. However, it’s only a poster design for the brief ( I created 3 poster variations). Should I include this in my portfolio as a single project or create an area more for short briefs/graphic design?

Is it unusual to have a 3 months notice period as an AD? I’ve been passively looking for a new gig and every recruiter I speak to seems very surprised about that. I also feel like no one wants to pay any more than my current salary of £55k (my current agency included) even though I’ve been an AD now for almost 3 years. What’s a good/reasonable salary to ask for as a Junior Art Director in NYC? This job would be the first agency job with that title, but my work is up to par. Obviously room for growth, but I wouldn’t need any hand holding (this extra statement felt important lol)

Need a sanity check. I've got an offer at a mid sized biotech - SM level, $165k + 15% bonus + 15% RSU (annual award so won't come into the picture into year 2) and a $22k sign on bonus. From what I understand, that's good comp (MCOL area) for the title, but as an EM at a life sciences consulting firm (10 YOE), I feel like I should shoot more for AD or D level.

If I take the offer, is it realistic to look for a director offer in a couple years, or would most companies target AD after SM?

Looking at exits into pharma and biotech. Have an opp at a biotech at the SM level. Total comp excluding equity is around $190k; RSUs vest over 4 years with annual refreshers, so first year equity would be around $6,200 and it would go up by $6,200 each of the next 3 years, plus whatever base bump I get. Very good benefits package.

They envision 2-3 years before I jump either to AD or right to D. Solid opp? Or hold out to go straight to director level?

I work at a small agency. I asked for a raise and was told you can get one in a few months if you do X,Y,Z but also keep in mind you make (on the low end of) what your position should make.

My question is—I wear many hats within my agency because we’re small and growing—So while I may be an art director, when needed I’m also a PA, or a production designer etc... SO shouldn’t my salary reflect that??
