I gave 4 rounds of interview for Manager 1 but the final decision was that I am unable to raise the bar. The recruitment coordinator asked me if he can keep my details or share my details to his colleagues so that they can check if I fit in some other role in future. Any idea about the cool off period?Amazon

Surprised to see energy companies paying so low. if you’re mentoring and leading projects I would say you’re definitely not being paid your worth. You should at least be somewhere in the 100k range.
Agree. This person likely needs to jump companies to get paid what they deserve.
I’d agree your under paid but can’t really say without reviewing the type of work and the quality. The 10% raise sounds more of a cap on your manager / HR before they need the CEO to sign off on it.
Sounds like you enjoy it and they value you. So here is my advice. Keep working hard and developing your craft. But setup a meeting with your boss in the new year. Tell them you love what you do and were happy to see the company show that with a 10% raise. Paint the picture of all you have done and then show a 1 year and 5 year plan of were you want to be and how you see it benefiting your boss and company. Then show what market data says someone with your skills is valued at. don’t let them focus on years of experience without telling you what skills that has in some detail. Our industry benefits from experience but it’s also rapidly evolving so even 1 to 2 years experience with something that is 2.5 years old is an expert. Out of this meeting your objective is to ask what would it take to get a X amount 6 months from now and can we make that happen? Any good manager should be happy to see someone share to perform and grow. They should also be realistic and authentic to your ask. If it’s not possible you need to choose then to look else where. If it is the two of you work out the details and goals to make it happen.
When you achieve that - repeat so by year end you will have achieved 20% increase and possible promotion level etc
A 10% raise is actually decent, you’re at least beating inflation by a little bit. The real problem is that your salary seems low compared to other software engineers, even considering that Houston is a LCOL city. I’m not familiar with the energy sector, but unless you can get a promotion or jump ship to a different company you’re not going to see a significant bump in pay.
Gotta interview and get another offer to find out.
You most likely will have to leave or show a counter-offer in order to get the raise you are looking for and deserve.
If you are what you are saying, you are certainly getting underpaid. But to find it out if that is actually true and your boss / company is on the same page with you is by getting a
