I am a recent grad(Finance), and my MBA school is not a named institute like Stanford. I would want to work for a consulting co. who is heavily involved in Finance. Can you help me create a roadmap from where should I start? What are top finance business consulting companies and how to get there? My undergrad was in science.

What’s the difference between Data Analyst and Data Engineer?
For me a Data Analyst works a lot closer to the business while Data Engineering is a lot more technical and related to Data Lifecycle in the backend. The reason I’m asking about this is that one of the companies I’m very much interested in has a role which is a Data Engineer for sure but they are calling it Data Analyst. Even though it’s complete technical with limited business interactions.
Does this vary from company?

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

Hoping to get some thoughts on the below options:
Current: Consultant at Economic Consulting firm (~$115K all in) with likely promotion in Spring 2021. Don't love the specific type of consulting I'm doing (niche and not what I want to be doing long term)
Alternative #1: Valuation analyst (so not client facing) at top PE firm. Role would be based in NYC (~$110K all in)
Alternative #2: Consultant for boutique strategy consulting firm (final round this week; research indicates range of $150-190K)

I always wanted to follow that traditional, full-time 2-year MBA track after working for 3-5 years, but my life took different turns after several years. I have to keep working. I’m older now (low to mid thirties), and because of industry moves, I don’t have as much experience as people would have for executive MBA programs. Is a part-time MBA at a top school worth it? Will I have more internal opportunities such as better lateral moves or even outside opportunities?

Even if it’s short term, that’s ok. (Some other names for the position are “Paralegal assistant”, “Secretary Assistant” or “Legal Secretary”).
Currently I am a Secretary Assistant in a personal injury law firm for 1 year now, and I want to get more experience in others law fields.

#SAP senior tech consultant vs #Snowflake SQL cloud support engineer?

Base/bonus are about the same. SAP has RSUs but not with the offer. Snowflake has RSU as part of the offer (not sure how much yet though). Both within a growing team with great potential, visibility, and impact.

SAP would be more sales support & client interactions more mplementation & sales engineering.
Snowflake would he dealing with tickets. Quarterly reviews with "quotas" and metrics. Weekend/holiday rotation as well.

Does anyone know if M7 schools offering deferred MBA admission forbid you from applying to other MBA programs down the line if accepted? e.g. say you get accepted to Kellogg/Columbia deferred programs, but want to apply to H/W/S in 2-3 years - are there any issues with this? I’ve anecdotally heard it’s not a problem and you just give up any non-refundable fees deposited but curious to hear if someone knows

Incoming MBA, I have my tuition paid for and rent covered (I will be an RA). So the only thing I need to pay for is food and entertainment. Do you think 20k is enough to last me through the 2 years? I will make a little money interning in the summer, so that would be a safety valve if I blow through the 20k.

I would appreciate your perspective.
I am currently working on my MBA in a professional evening and weekend program at a highly accredited university. I am thinking about transferring to a much smaller private online program, specifically because they offer a concentration in organizational health, which directly builds on my doctoral research. Does great depth and specialization outweigh the value of a highly respected generalist degree?
