Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

I think it matters almost as much as the resume itself.
Whether you include a lock or not, recruiters and hiring managers will double check your info against your LinkedIn profile. It helps them understand, what is this person willing to say about their accomplishments before closed doors on a piece of paper, vs. in front of all their colleagues. Not always a fair assessment, but that's been my experience.
I’d say it’s still worth including! Some hiring managers definitely check, especially for networking-heavy roles. Even a basic, up-to-date profile can help. If it’s super outdated, maybe just refresh the essentials—job titles, a short summary—and call it a day. Low effort, but could make a difference!
You should include it, and you should definitely update your profile. You never really know who will stumble across your profile there, and having it covered with cobwebs is a very bad sign. Get that straightened out, and include the profile on your resume.
Yes you must have a well crafted LinkedIn profile that matches up with your resume. Not word for word but it needs to sync up. What's cool about your LinkedIn profile is it allows you to do far more than you can do on a resume. You can show your recommendations, your professionally looking photo, articles or work products you are proud of, connection, etc. Virtually everyone who receives your resume will immediately go to your LinkedIn profile to see if you have one and how much care you put into updating it. Unfortunately having a solid LinkedIn profile is a requirement not an option if you are looking for a job. Sorry. Let me know if you want some help with this.
Yes they do. Save them the hassle of looking you up. Also make sure your LinkedIn profile is tight too. Hit me up if you need any pointers.
I am an Org Lead and part of the hiring process for my Org and I definitely care want to see a LinkedIn link. I always check -- one to see if they are posting objectionable material, but also to see if they have certifications or work experience they may not have thought was relevant for the job but may help them. Also if there are questions about it, the LinkedIn may shed some light...
Personally, I have my LinkedIn profile set up to mirror my resume and only the formatting is a little bit different.
And many times on workday companies ask for your LinkedIn profile.
Hiring managers don't always care.
Recruiters 100% care. Especially if they want more context on your resume
I think it’s another one of those situations where it depends on the company and the hiring manager themselves. I know LinkedIn is slowly falling off, but it’s probably good just to update your profile whether or not you attach it to your resume somehow reminders may look at it, but I think for now you should still be keeping your LinkedIn updated.
