What exactly is a marketing specialist? (Genuine question, not trying to be a dick, I swear)
What kind of company are you working for? Those are the responsibilities of a whole bunch of different people across several different departments. And this is gonna sound like a really douchey comment, but again, I really don’t mean it that way, but as an entry-level person, can you really be a “specialist”? Like it just seems like that title is setting anyone who has it up for failure by casting WAY too wide a net.
Lol good Q. Basically social strategy + other marketing (digital ads (rare but would be me), internal communications, assisting new biz)
Honestly, not even a douchey comment because I feel the same in the role sometimes. There’s a lot that encapsulates this role and being that I literally just graduated (a year early, so 3 yrs in college), it’s overwhelming at times. Wondered if it was the role being new for this particular agency, or a role like this in general in the industry. Sounds like the former. To answer your Q, I work at an agency - not doing anything billable/client work, just marketing for the agency.
