Has anyone raised a baby/child while still teaching? Can it be done? I’m worried about money for childcare and fitting it all in schedule wise. I don’t want to derail my career, but a baby is a baby!

What to do if co-workers talk behind your back and administration knows about it, but don’t do really Anything about it. I feel very low and unhappy and would like to quit, but have a contract til 21.

Anyone ever felt as if your hard work would finally be noticed if you were no longer alive and someone really had to see how much good you tried your best to do?

When is it time to find a new school or district? Or even to switch grade levels?

I’m struggling with some anxious thoughts today and just had a parent email asking to speak with me. It sounds urgent and now I can’t help but go through all the possibilities

When did suffering through a work day in constant physical pain due to a medical issue become normal? The guilt I feel for staying home is more than I ever expected when I wanted to become a teacher.

Should I try talking to another teacher that has been making my life difficult? At today’s optional after school meeting she said I was keeping her past her contractual time... it was optional!!!

My school closed at the end of last year, and it was merged with another. It’s been an absolute nightmare. Lots of disrespectful students with fights. I’m emotionally spent. How do I get my mojo back?

How have you trained yourself to watch what you say 100% of the time when you are at work? I come from a very politically conservative background and am having trouble adjusting.

How do you “turn off” your teacher brain at the end of the day? I’m having a hard time disconnecting from the stress of the day and all of the issues I run into with students, parents, etc.

2015 $85/month towards health ins. 2019 $622/month. It’s sad that in a profession that requires a college education our take home decreases over time. Thanks NJ. Can’t wait to find a new career!!!

Am I the only one frustrated w what’s going on w the state and what’s been taken away. It’s as if I’m taking home less than I did 5 years ago and on paper I’m technically making more. It’s sad.

This isn’t my self care menu (mine is less pretty, lol), but I had the teachers I’m coaching make self-care menus last week, and I loved the outcomes! This is something that’s been so helpful for me.
