Has anyone else ever had to act like a totally different person just to survive work? I’m naturally outgoing, warm, and collaborative, but at work, I’ve trained myself to be reserved, overly cautious, and almost robotic. It’s not that I’ve grown professionally, it’s that I’ve adapted to a toxic environment where being myself isn’t safe. It’s exhausting. What version of yourself do you have to be at work, and does it ever feel like too much to keep up?
