Has anyone managed to stay remote in a senior role? I moved to a rising tech hub for a finance role, and now that I’m back on the market, I realize there are exactly three relevant companies here. If I don't get an offer from one of them, I have to sell my house and move back to NYC or something just to find a job. The decentralization of finance was a lie. If you aren't in a major hub, your career has a very low ceiling.

I've been applying to jobs for months but every position wants at least 2yrs of experience in real estate transactions, usually way more. I'm at 1yr+ doing HOA/condo work but have had no opportunity to do real estate transactions like I expected. Seems like the only way to get the experience is to have nailed a big law gig right out of school and get put into that practice.

Having a moment and wanted to make a post. I lost a special family member suddenly in April 2020. And then another July 2020. And then the most influential person in my life in February 2021. And then another big loss in April 2022. I’m still grieving. Every single day. Some days are better than others. I’ve had heightened anxiety and depression with it. My heart hurts all of the time. I miss them all so much. Some days just seem to be better than others.
