How much are you contributing to your 401k?

First time posting on here… what do you like best about this app/what’s the best way to use this app to get its benefits? 🤔

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?

I applied for a job and received an offer from my client. 15k+ bump in salary, better benefits/remote work, and responsibilities will give me exposure to all areas of the organization (start up). The problem is that they’re looking to staff me as a Senior when I’m currently a Manager at DT. They said they’re flexible on title, but curious to hear how others have navigated similar situations. I would report directly to the controller and have 1-2 staff reporting to me...

Hi all- new to fishbowl. Not really sure how to use and explore the app yet but I saw this bowl and figured I would introduce myself. I am a wholesaler for 401K and I am able to partner with advisors who currently uncover 401K opportunities or are looking to learn how to. Reply if you are an advisor in the NYC area and interested in learning about how to expand your business.

I have a client who needs a 401k, or a solo retirement account w loan options. When I was at UBS/Ameriprise, it was no issue but now it seems tougher to find a firm that does solo 401k as a RIA's.

Any tips on how to deal with this…my entire team was let go today (was 5, now just me). We functioned as the Marketing team for 4 brands and primarily focused on product launches and sustaining social media content. My plan moving forward is to only focus on the top revenue driving product launches for now and say “no” to basically everything else. Would love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation and can offer some advice.

Currently owning a house worth 1 Crore INR where I’ll be closing my home loan by this August. Please suggest diversified options of Investment for my retirement. Has anyone here participated in the year long remote year program? My company is fully remote in the US and is in general supportive of me going but concerned about local and international tax liability. Remote year doesn’t share tax advice and our HR team is small. I have got the ey hr mail stating i should provide him with aadhar card, information sheet and latest resume for a audit and assurance contract for 6 months as iam a semi qualified CA.

Here my question is should i take this opportunity. Cause since this is only for 6 months. After that, what i can do, where should I try to get the job?

Question: Girl friends parents finally came over for a ristha. Everything went great or so I thought but now she wants to time to think about moving forward. The pain point she brought up is that we are in different states and she is feeling pressed.
