I joined Tiger Analytics with CTC of 9lpa. When I check in greythr IT statement, it shows 7.14lpa.
In the CTC payslip, it shows 75k per month as my salary. But this month I got 61k.
I understand they deduct tax, but I feel it is too much. IDK where I'm losing the money. Can someone tell if this is normal. I'm a fresher so, IDK much about it.
Also, what can I do to pay less taxes? Any help on that?

I don't think they will rescind, but I would keep my options open if I were in your shoes
You could do some online courses on LinkedIn learning or the equivalent. Learning things like excel, tableau, qgis, sql won’t hurt and may help you be more efficient later. But in general I would just say enjoy the time. You have the rest of your life to work, so if you have some savings, I would travel or do something that you find interesting
Enjoy your time off, with whatever you find most rewarding! Don’t worry about doing a ton of courses, you’ll learn quick enough once you’re here, especially since you’ve already done an internship with us! :)
No they won’t rescind offers! :) In terms of morale, I don’t think it’s as bleak as people make it out to be on here, or even bleak at all. Context is key here, unless people have been at the firm for +10 years they won’t have experienced a year that didn’t have record growth, so the “come down” right now is hitting people hard. Plus some people come on this platform to vent !
Honestly, don’t worry it’s a great firm with great people that are looking forward to working with you!
Strongly disagree on the morale point. Just because people aren’t visibly upset on a daily basis, doesn’t mean the anxiety and severe concerns are not there. People are professionals and behaving accordingly but I note the significant morale dip (versus 1 and 2 years ago) in daily convos and when people are allowed to speak frankly. That said, I agree with everything else. It is a great firm with really great people. If you can weather the temporary macroeconomic storm, you’ll have an excellent experience here!
Keep your options open. Go travel. Learn new skills. Start your side hustles
If I were you, I would be spending your time grinding your ass off on a side hustle. If you ever want true freedom from your job, owning your own business is the only way and that comes from a successful side hustle. If you prefer to just work a corporate job for the next 40 years, then don’t worry about a side hustle and just travel, spend time with your loved ones and get your health in order.
I don't think so. But with our current government I don't have any hopes that the economy will improve. Unfortunately government policies have very tangible consequences on our lives.
Out of curiosity, what specific government policies do you think are currently impacting Altman's business? What policies would a different government adopt that you think would have a more positive tangible impact?
