I’m currently considering this. I’m on the revenue side of healthcare so it’s probably an easier transition as I can switch to a revenue cycle tech company but my fear is starting all over in a completely new field
I’m curious about your fears. I’m in IT - Revenue Cycle and honestly not many on my team are very technical. I mean no disrespect to them, however if you can consider yourself a super-user, I don’t see why you can’t make the transition.
I’m currently considering this too. Working through the pandemic has really taken its toll and I don’t feel like I’m a good therapist showing up for my patients. I’ve considered switching but maintaining PRN hours to keep my clinical skills
What type of tech role are looking into? I am in healthcare fiance and analytics and have thought of this as well, but I'm not sure what part of tech I could do. I have MBA too
Have been thinking of this as well..currently a pharmacist. I’m still thinking of what kind of careers are available in the tech industry for me. Any suggestions or tips?
Not personally, but if you post this in the regular consulting bowl and ask for life sciences refs or recommendations you’ll get a bunch.
What requirements are needed to enter the tech world? Like i’m a pharmacist. How would i make the leap with a pharmd degree?
I saw a job for a pharmd to work on the tech side designing online Telehealth platforms and Apps. Think there must be quite a few jobs like that around right now.
I been thinking about it as well living Healthcare and starting taking some other to courses to expand my skillset.
Life is short. If you want to try tech go for it. Nursing will still be there if you don’t like it.
