Can anyone give an opinion about joining Cognizant Bangalore now ? I have 1.8 YoE and they are offering a pretty good hike but I have heard news like there's managerial changes happening rn and many people are leaving the firm. Your opiniors will greatly help me in making a career decision.

$300k for a family of 4 in Sacramento is comfortable, but not lavish. The mortgage and grocery bill eats up a significant portion of that income.
DC was feeling comfortable at 130k salary when single (had cheap rent from a personal connect tho)
Now at 225k salary + SO’s 125k salary, no kids yet. Living comfortably but have had to tighten budget for the next few years to build up the down payment fund (aiming to buy SFH in the $1.5m range).
DMV I would be comfortable at $200k. I’m supporting a family of 6 tho one income at 145k. When my wife goes back to work in a couple years we should be over 200 assuming my salary continues to increase and we become dual income again
NYC, prob 150k to live comfortably as a single person
Family of 6 in the far outskirts of DMV. Live okay on $160 ish HHI. Will live better once old debt is gone. Both of us graduated college in late 20’s and are teen parents so it was rough living for a bit.
are you single ? If yes, then you make 30 K more than the median. Definition of “comfortable “ varies for people.
It varies. I'd assume for most people it means having more money at the end of the month than more month at the end of the money.
Charlotte, nc comfortable for 1 person is 91k and atlanta, ga comfortable for 1 person is 100k salaries
I am in Boston- do not recommend unless you are loaded.
I’m in Austin. Married with one spawn and on 80k, or even $114k, it would be a struggle. I’m not even saying comfortable. It would feel slightly better than survival.
The flip side is that salaries around here are pretty good and $80k is on the low end. Wait for the market to recalibrate and find a different gig.
