Hi, I disagree with the panic here because your major risk is already resolved.
BGV companies only verify your Date of Joining (DOJ) and Last Working Day (LWD). The exact date you dropped your resignation email is an internal company timeline and is NOT checked by standard Background Verification (BGV) agencies.
Here is what you should do instead and why:
Do absolutely nothing: Your previous company’s Relieving Letter and Experience Letter will only mention your DOJ and LWD. The BGV agency will cross-check those documents, and since your new employer has already accepted your original LWD, your check will come out Green.
Do not initiate a conversation with HR: Do not try to clarify anything from your end now. Opening a closed chapter will only make the new HR suspicious about your "medical reasons."
Stick to your story: In a rare 1% scenario, if anyone ever asks about the timeline gap, stick firmly to the medical emergency reason you already gave. Do not create a new story.
The risk in your approach: Your only real risk was getting caught while lying about the medical reason to adjust the LWD. Since the company already accepted it, that risk is gone. Stop overthinking and wait for your onboarding smoothly.
Such a soothing reply. Thanks
So u got updated offer from product based company?
No .u r worring about unnecessary thing. You have updated offer in hand.
I am in situation where my hr has not updated my joining date and didn't share updated offer .hr has said multiple times that it will be changed and asked to accept offer and last moment hr didn't change date . And I will be jobless now.
If no overlap in PF dates, then you are out of risk, don’t worry.
