What are some key skills that you’d expect an Account Executive to master before progressing to an Account Supervisor role?
So what’s the story with all of these very senior diversity and inclusion officers at many of the big advertising agencies? Have they accomplished the hiring of more diverse staff? Or are they just for show? Ours has been here for a few years and there hasn’t been one more African American strategic planner, creative, or account executive hired in that time. Has this position made a difference for people?
Any thoughts on a $45K offer for an AE role in Chicago without any health benefits? Offer is $10K below the lowest number I specified when asked for a salary range. Kind of bummed. Honest opinions plz

At what point in your accounts career does your work start to pay off? I work so many hours and I’m getting paid so little. I’m starting to wonder if it’s worth it at ae, or at the supervisor role.
how long should i stay in this position before trying to make the switch to an AE? I’ve been told 1 year, but my boss is making me feel otherwise even though I’m performing at a higher level.
Can anyone share their story on how they broke into AS role from AE level? Feeling like I’m hitting the wall.
I don’t think I’m an account person. As an AAE, I learned nothing (but that was because my team was toxic). As an AE, I’m learning the role of an account person and I’m making a lot of mistakes.
Apologies for all the questions but I need advice. I’ve been in media buying for 2 years and I’m hoping to transition to accounts. I interviewed with an agency who told me I would have to come in as an AAE vs AE. This position would be a 10k pay cut for me, is it worth it? Could I come in as an AE or do I have to be an AAE first to get experience? Thanks!
AE position for healthcare in DC area; COLA from previous salary/location (AE role) says it should be $75k. Don't think that's realistic - any insights?
I am an Account Executive and work in the programmatic team as part of a wider agency, but I’m not sure this is where I want to be. I want something more collaborative, creative, and less to do with numbers and budgets, and I think this could be Brand Strategy. How might I transition into a role in this area?
Recruiting for AE role. Two good, qualified candidates have personal/friendship connections to two different day-to-day client contacts. What do you guys think? Potential issues? I’m a little nervous.

Anyone transitioned from consulting into an account executive role? How different was it? Currently in talks with a startup about the opportunity but not sure if it’s way above my level. I’d manage
Ready For Promotion (But Not On Paper) I feel really confident that I can step up into a senior AE or AS role from all the work I've done in my past and current positions, but only held role (cont)

Need some advice looking for exit opportunities/networking in Los Angeles. Currently finished all sections of the CPA and attempting to network with recruiters on LinkedIn but no responses/connections yet. Been applying on job sites but any tips would be appreciated.
Can anyone recommend an app or software for tracking billable hours to make it easier to put together and submit timesheets? I work for a small firm and all of our billing/invoicing is done manually. Every couple of weeks I go through my notes to type up my timesheets and I’m wondering if there’s an app that can record my time as I work and then put that all together categorized by client to submit for invoicing. I don’t need to note how much a particular client pays per hour.

Deloitte H1B consultants (others too) who’ve been laid off recently and received a salary continuation - Have you been able to view your employment verification letters? Need to know what are the dates mentioned there - last date of service or last date of salary continuation or both? Asking for visa purposes. Feel free to direct message to discuss. Thanks
Anyone who got laid off change their status from H1B to B2? I read that if we find a new job before the B2 visa is approved, we have to make a trip back to the country and get a visa to re-enter the US, which means we cannot enter before 2021 per the new EO. Any idea if the USCIS is approving B2 visas more quickly because of Covid?
New to exiting. How does one go about reaching out to random alumni/connections on LinkedIn with the goal of learning more information and securing a referral? Is it expected or awkward?
