I'm interviewing for a SaaS AE role this week after getting rif'd from another company.
During my interview I'd like to ask the leaders how they've set their reps up for success and what the company is doing to make sure they don't have the same issues as many other companies seem to be having.
Is there a respectful way to ask and see what the health of the company is?
How important is having a bachelors degree for a career in sales? I’m a 22yo/M and have been in sales for almost two years. I took a break from Uni during Covid because I lost funding for school, so i ended up getting a entry level sales job and working my ass off since then. Changed jobs twice now and am starting my new position as a software account executive and will end the year breaking six figures, but my parents keep pushing me to go back to school. What should I do? Any advice would help
Anyone in the EdTech field? Previous role was roughly 4 years as an enrollment advisor for an EdTech OPM. Looking to stay in Higher Ed or K-12 sales. Looking to see if there are any referrals that could be made as I would love to stick with a sales role. Any SDR, BDR, AE roles would be greatly appreciated.
Looking for a position in tech software sales. I have been working as a account executive, team leader & sales manager in the past 10 years. Most recently worked in the digital twin industry. Looking for my next opportunity.
Need a understanding of what salary should i draw based on the current role and the future role offered…. Current job Sales developement Representative- 4 ctc. Next role Account executive - what should be the salary slab as per market standards.
Hey, looking to move into a Account Executive role at Toast. I have been working in Direct D2D sales for a major telecommunications company for coming up on 3 years. I need growth so I want to move into B2B. If you work at toast, can you please let me use you as a referral? Thanks!
Currently at a Startup SaaS company where I’ve already been promoted from an Enterprise BDR to an ISR. My goal is to eventually grow into an SE, to bridge my coding and sales skills. My VP of Sales and I were discussing career progression acknowledging I’m keen on getting there, but I have to fill my experience gap. So I have been told I can move into either an AE role or CSM this year, so my question is, which role, in your opinion, would best serve me on the way to my goal to become an SE?
Hey! I’m looking to apply to be a account executive for new business sales at google. Is there anyone that’s currently in that role or works at google that’s open for a discussion or recommendation.
Looking to land an Account Executive position with Salesforce or HubSpot! I Have 7+Years of Sales experience always while always exceeding Quotas. I also have 4 years of Salesforce experience! I have applied for over 7 positions in the last month or so. Anyone have recommendations to landing an interview with them?
My company is going to shift me from a base + comm to a base only. My boss explained it as the base will be much higher. I manage a BDR team and am currently making 65k base + uncapped comm from AE deals and when the team hits quarterly numbers. About a year and a half ago I was getting ready to leave for a senior bdr position that was going to pay 100k a year and my current company counter offered me and I stayed. I like my job but am I getting a short end of the stick by going to base only?
Nearly a year in on a shrinking SDR team.
I am finding it increasingly unlikely that I'll be able to get off this team over to MM AE until the empty seats have been filled and brought up to speed.
At this point a move sideways into an AE role elsewhere is looking better and better.
Should I be patient or just take the leap?
Any tips on best positioning that in an interview?

Hello! I am thinking about switching from SMB IT sales to an Account Executive role at AIM. Any fish on this bowl that can comment on their experience as an AE at AIM or similar consulting firms? I want to know what I may be getting myself into.
This company I am interviewing with is not proposing a base salary and an OTE. They are asking me to create it and I really need guidance here. It’s an AE role in medical SaaS sales for orthopedics surgery. What do I need to ask? So far I know that they cover medical insurance, there is no 401k, and there are private company stock options. It’s mainly inside sales with maybe 10% travel.
My thought was 75k base and 110k OTE. But they are saying to lower the base and increase OTE.
Just finished an interview for an AE role at a high-growth SaaS organization.
The interviewer told me that their quotas are very high - barely any of their sales reps hit quota YoY. They mentioned, “goals are high to push our reps. hence our YoY growth”
Is this a red flag?
Keep seeing sales rep and AE roles for various consulting firms (Deloitte / KPMG / Accn). What exactly are you doing in this position? Cold calling and selling project and firm offerings to various clients? Working with partners to generate leads?
How many rounds of interviews are normal for a small, independent agency? I’m in the process of interviewing for an associate account executive (entry level) position if that helps! I’ve had a phone screen and one virtual interview with the co-founders so far.
Anyone know of South Florida PR agencies (or in house positions) hiring at AE level? Or any fully remote AE positions?
In April joined a Product Company as an Account Executive (sales role) and was asked to work on a new product which does not have product -market fit. Tema has also started resigning.
Will it be a right choice to move to a grown organization with a mature product? Or it can impact my career due to such short span ?
Can anyone please guide me?

Has anyone moved from a MM AE role to enablement? I’m hitting my number as a rep but feel enablement will be less stressful over the long term, but of course you make less $$ if you’ve moved to enablement, I’d love to hear your thoughts on what you like/don’t like
I was promoted during the pandemic to a new role while our company was on a salary freeze. I've been working that role now for 9+ months on the largest account for our agency, but without an adequate salary to match. We're only just starting to release the pandemic salary freeze. Any advice for what salary I should be requesting would be appreciated (AE in the Midwest)
Hi everyone! Desperately looking for advice on appropriate salary expectations....
Currently an Account Executive – stepping up to Senior Account Executive in the next month or so. 3 years experience.
Work at a smaller agency & am fully aware that my current salary is grossly low-balled. Was told to name a number for SAE role, but have no basis for what a 'normal' range looks like for that role.
Is it worth it to take a small paycut to get the title of AE? I have the opportunity to move into an AE role at 2 new startups but both would be about a 20% pay cut from what I expect to make this year. Is it worth it to take the jump and get the job title?
Promoted to AE in the fall and have gotten no negative feedback whatsoever- I ask consistently. I have notes saved from clients, VPs, ECDs etc singing my praises and have been getting AS offers at other agencies since October. I am confident that I am ready for a promotion to AS as I am doing the duties of the empty position above me but am worried that I will look greedy asking this soon. Especially given the fact that I have never supervised anyone. I do all intern-AS jobs due to understaffing
Anyone in Dallas hiring?

Hey guys, I am in process for a Machine learning role with PwC. Coming from Deloitte where we have good implementation project. I am curious what salary can i expect for a senior ML associate?
Hi All! What does that mean when hiring manager responds back on follow-up email, saying “I’ll keep you posted on the next steps”Are they still considering or is it just a new way of rejection?waiting is so painful. :(
I have a new client call tomorrow, and I’m nervous. Apparently, this client is difficult to please and was not impressed with the last person they met who was supposed to be in my role. How do I introduce myself in a way that’s going to make them think “THIS GUY HAS IT”. Exact sentence structure appreciated lol

Can someone please refer me in Deloitte USI for the role of audit-assistant.

I’m finding that a weird side effect of losing my job in this climate is ad agencies taking advantage of my weakened position. They get in touch, proactively or in response to my reaching out, and they want to hire me as they are in good shape. When I reveal I was laid off, the offer changes to freelance or maybe nothing. My work, awards, the fact that they know me and approached me in the first place should be enough. I don’t want to lie about my situation. Any ideas how to avoid this?
A recruiter reached out about a "credit operations analyst" role at a PE fund in london. Anyone have insight into what this role may entail and what this may mean for the future? Currently doing alternatives research at a 3rd party data provider (preqin) and waiting on my CFA lvl 1 results
Looking for some advice about my current job situation. Being moved to a new position after the first of the year and this will entail management of a department. No discussion on increasing salary but the expectations are extremely high for this position. I have already been managing this department by default off and on for a year. It is severely understaffed and VP and rest of upper management do not recognize the problems this causes. I am thinking about looking for something else.
