Today I read the op-ed in LA Weekly by the Preux and Proper owner, Josh Kopel. When this group started, it was a dream of mine to meet you while enjoying a drink or a meal and build a community of people who enjoy the city and wanted to explore its food. It’s surreal to think that we have been in lockdown for this long. I know many restaurants may be struggling and if you have a favorite, a local gem, please share with us.

Really need an accountability partner for a few things below:
1. Wake up at 5:30
2. Exercise everyday for at least a half hour
3. Eat more home-made balanced & nutritious meals & less takeout
4. Lose 8lbs
5. Meditate or journal every day

Current weight - 121lbs.
Desired weight - 112(like always)
Mood - tired & grumpy during the day cos of no sleep, bad sleep, bad food choices
Focus & productivity - absolutely failing cos of the above

I've got 4 years at a staffing agency after getting Masters in HRM and making a complete career change in 2018. Doing full cycle recruiting and account management. Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.
