Interested in your opinions. Last year I took a government job. Before I was working as an independent consultant and netting more - obviously without pension and benefits though. (Lost work due to pandemic.) With extra medical expenses this year (outside of government insurance) I realize I’m simply not making enough money to do what I want and need to to (medical + travel + investing). Almost 5 years at a top 10 firm with a job offer at B4 for a 20% pay jump, is it worth taking the risk with further layoffs still being talked about? B4 will look better on my resume and the money will be nice, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the stress of a B4 lifestyle and potentially getting fired in a few months anyways.

A&M fishes do you feel pressure while taking vacations as your comp is tied to billable hours? Also what’s the policy on remote work, can people work from another country (eg. Canada or Europe ) for a few days if they are supporting during US work hours. Big 4 is strict about international work location, so just curious.
