It's been 3 years, companies need to stop blaming everything on Covid. Your bus is running late? Covid. More wildfires? Covid. Wow, just wow.

Why is return to office so important for all these companies.. why force an employee to do things that affect life outside work .. specially when there was no loss , infact increase in productivity during covid . Hearing all the extents these companies are going to get people back and its stressing me out 🫣

Got my Covid booster and on a 1-10 scale of great-dying, I’m at like a 3, maybe 4. I’m going full man-flu though (I’m a woman) and it’s so incredibly liberating. Sent my husband to go get popsicles and random things I don’t really need. Whispering about how weak I feel and walking super slowly from couch to bed. I see why y’all men do this. This is power.

I decided to skip my company's Christmas lunch last week. It was held at work with about 150+ people stacked in a huge conference room with about 15 people per table. No masks obviously. Over the Thanksgiving break , 3 members of my family came down with Covid (I was lucky I didn't) . We all were together for Thanksgiving dinner at one of my siblings. I don't want to take any chances. I have been Covid free this entire pandemic and I plan to continue keeping it that way

Tested positive for Covid on the road for a client - what to do other than isolate

Don’t mean any hate here, but I moved to Chicago for school in September and noticed that people are sadder and angrier. My experiences shopping, dining, making conversations with strangers (or people at uni) have been shockingly cold 😅 I came here several times before covid and loved being around locals. I went in yesterday and found out I have an inner ear infection that stemmed from side effects from having had Covid twice! I’m on medication now but it could have been worse!

I’m looking for a new job and working on my resume. At my last company, I oversaw our Covid response, (policies, tracking, return to work, safety, communications, transition to hybrid, etc). I even received a bonus and letter from our ceo. Do you think this is something to include on my resume for HRBP/people experience/culture roles? Hello everybody, this goes out to all my fellow healthcare workers. Especially the travelers i.e. nurses, CNA‘s. OK.we are three years in to this Covid pandemic. Yes, this pandemic in my view is not over especially right now. If you’re making $90 an hour as a nurse, you can do a hell of a whole lot more ,help the CNA’s out, clean a room for the environment services department ,stock your rooms. No one deserves that amount of money you’re getting paid . Remember why you got in healthcare!!

Just venting here. On the struggle bus lately. 35, single. Not valued or succeeding at work. Underpaid and drowning in student loan debt in a HCOL city with no relief in sight. Long Covid = way off my game and feel like the partners hate me for it. They insist on being in office now, despite the risks. Siblings are both married with kids, doing amazing, which I love for them, they both 100% earned and deserve it. But it just feels like I completely f*cked my life up by choosing this profession.

My coworker partner had clinically verified brain fog from COVID. Y’all he went from being the biggest design come up in the office to a guy that didn’t remember ctrl c ctrl v in a week. I always took COVID seriously but this was actually wild to see happen in front of me. Hope everyone is okay

Such a weird tradition

I have always struggled in my career despite being from the best colleges. In my first company, I was given the worst rating bcz I cheated on a tech test (I was not in a tech team), post mba I joined new company & my boss hated me, I was yelled at daily & given double the amount of work. She finally laid me off when covid started. Now I joined this new company, moved countries & after 3 months, I was laid off (with 1K peeps). This has shaken me to the core & I have lost all confidence in myself.

TLDR: is there a way to embed something in a PPT where the PPT’s creator will get notified/ can see that I downloaded, opened, and printed the PPT from a personal computer?

Probably not the correct bowl (please lmk if theres a better one). I need to print something housed on a work laptop but can’t unless I email it to my personal, open doc, and print.

Paranoid I’m going to be fired for low hours. Had a busy October and hit hours, was very slow last month and was like 30 hours short of target, and have been sick with Covid this month and missed a solid week of work, plus we have the holidays coming up. I was hoping to avoid two consecutive slow months, but it seems inevitable. How worried should I be? Firm hasn’t laid off anyone yet …. Class of 2021 for reference
