Hi, I’m an SG6. In my team, there are a few SG6s and SG8s, along with LL6s and LL5s.
Is there any possibility of getting an onsite opportunity? If so, what are the criteria and how is the priority determined?

The whole point of fortune Global500 companies expanding in India is to cut down the costs.. You're already onsite. If they again send you from Ford India to Ford US/UK, then it fundamentally defies the whole expansion in India. So, it's extremely rare. Don't even think of it.. Work a few yrs and switch again.. that's all.

Is there any objective for travel , what's the expectation from travel?

Do you work with NA , do you have any business that needs to be sorted being in person?
Does your LL06/05 travel ? If so how long they do?

If there are any dependency process or skill gap between both the teams and considering the future developments there should be a strategy to send a GSR to learn more about the process and work.
There used to be few travels for top talent GSRs pre COVID, but nothing much now.. may be after 4 day WFO policy it will start again!

Yes , travel in service organization is still like a cheap resource working from onsite. But that's not the case anymore.

Just remind your self , India is not a cheap resource anymore.

Pay is almost equivalent to european countries

Is MBB and management consulting losing its value among young people as employer? Since i noticed majority of young people currently want to work for FAANG, startups, crypto, Unicorns, want to open their own things, etc. I guess in 2000s and 2010s consulting was a top choice for graduates.
