If i join a deloitte competitor, do i get fired immediately? Do i still get my PTO paid out? I care less about the first part
What's the most cringe company wide emails you've seen? Here's one sent to around 6k folks in the org upon the guy getting fired:
For all of you who are young, intelligent, motivated, and have a great value structure, I would urge you to leave this firm now. Most of the best talent has already left.
Take my advice, as most of you have grown to respect me over the years.

How do layoffs at EY work? I've heard of people being laid off...will there be more? Is it region by region or just an overall national thing? I'm a staff 1 and not sure how this all works
The partner in charge of my office had a nearly hour long conversation Tuesday with our new hire, behind closed doors. I didn’t hear yelling, but the bits I heard weren’t good. Will he be fired?
What would you do? I was recently reached out to by an exec I worked for at another agency. He’s at a new agency and looking for an EA to assist him, the new president and another exec. However the agency itself is not doing well- no new biz wins, big layoffs recently, terrible reviews on Glassdoor. I like my current agency enough, however, very much don’t like the 2 execs I assist. Would you go rather work for good execs at a bad agency? Or stay at a decent agency but awful execs?
Anyone have a sense of why Deloitte got hit so hard by layoffs? I’ve heard four potential reasons:
1. Client mix / type of work
3. Over hired in anticipation of growth
4. Partners didn’t want to take a haircut
Just curious! From an external perspective, seems like they cut way more than the other firms.
We’ve been hearing about layoffs. Any companies you know for sure are in hiring freezes?
I just found out I’ll be getting laid off in a month. I’ve contemplated freelancing for a while but haven’t worked on more than 1-2 small clients at a time on the side of work. How do I know when it’s the right time to take the plunge into freelancing?
I just got laid off and I just don’t know what to say “if” I ever get an interview. Any tips would be appreciated. I know when you get laid off, no one wants to hire you.
Here is how KPMG handled an announcement today re: a RIF:
We’ll be laying off people. We can’t tell you when. can’t tell you how many people. We can’t give you any details. But we WILL send you an email after this call with FAQs and the severance policy.
...no email was sent. So, now 1,000 employees are going to bed tonight confused and irritated AF.
Do you think it is quite possible to get fired by asking too many questions as an experienced senior 1? If so, i might get fired after this busy season.
Are we headed towards a recession? PwC seems to be cutting costs and I've been hearing of layoffs at the other Big Four.
I’ve seen a few posts regarding layoffs in the past week. Should I be worried as an undergrad?
Laid off. Wha wha. Anyone hiring out there?
In today’s client meeting there were at least 5 times that I was imaging the following:
1. Interrupt the clients and say “shut up, that is the most stupid thing I’ve heard of”
2. Tell the clients in their face “you’re fired”
3. And tell the partner “Sorry, I quit”
But instead, I smelled and said “that is an interesting idea. Let us think about it and come back to you”
I was laid off in June. Most consulting companies are on a hiring freeze that I’ve talked to. It’s pretty hard on my psyche to not get down on myself. I worked so hard to get to Deloitte and now it feels like I’m starting over. It’s tough. Any advice on companies that are hiring? I only want to go if it is a fit not just anywhere you know. Thanks.
When someone gets laid off early on in their career, how do recruiters and creative directors evaluate their portfolio? Especially if it doesn’t have much produced work...
Just took this BCG Quant Reasoning test and I think I messed it up. Some of the units are so confusing. Is nearest 000s of pounds 23000 or 23? They don’t partial mark it and the whole test was filled with this sort of thing. Oh well
How do you handle a rude recruiter? I had a recruiter ask my salary expectations, and when given I was told I was asking too much (I was in line with my current role and competitive salary in NYC,) and I shouldn’t ask for that because “I just don’t have that much to offer.”
Is anyone know, PWC is having policy of minimum 60% marks throughout criteria for experienced candidates as well ?
The BK campaign is just bumming me out. There’s still so much talent in this industry, yet some of the most visible work in the world is going to be that?
Is Account executive the goal once you become a BDR? What are the other paths that other people have taken?
I have an L3 Finance written offer from Google. TC $146k in Austin. It is a slight hit in my cash comp compared to my current role. Overall getting a 15% bump in terms of TC. I have tried my best to negotiate and at least match my current cash comp but doesn't look like there's a way they can meet it. My thought is to push for L4 in near term to get a good bump once I get in. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
GMAT. Those with ADHD. I feel I can study better on meds, but I perform better when I’m off then during the exam. I’m stuck in a catch-22 of if I should: 1) use stims throughout 2) wean off stims a few days before exam. Anyone else with similar experiences?
Any idea about the URL wherein mock test could be seen for Nagarro second round MCQ for project managers
What is the average% appraisal hike at PWC SDC?
Do Americans remember their own colonial history? Why don’t they sympathize with other countries that suffered under colonial rule? There’s a reason why everyone here speaks English and they have
I was hired at A2 in PwC AC Bangalore and it's been an year. I heard they give default 3 rating to 1st year A2, so, what percentage hike on salary can we expect on 3 rating given Deloitte gave 30+ hike for similar profile?
Hey Fishes, has anyone got selected in Stripe recently and working? Their hiring process has been like a Smoke Screen, no updates ,just stagnant is what I hear from my acquaintance.

As a new product manager what books should I be reading? I’ve already read Inspired but looking or more. For context, I’ve joined a series A start up and as expected there’s a lot to do and it’s very fluid. I want to be able to help the head of product as much as possible as well as provide some structure to how we work.
Our staff just finished a book study on this book. It really helps you to understand the impact of trauma on the human brain. It also gives strategies to use in your class.
