Often in public sector here, many positions are announced 'internally' which means, employers are actually trying to promote or offer permanent contracts to employees already working there. How to ask politely if the vacancy announced is of such nature? I have an eye on a position, but i have doubts if it is a dummy vacancy or a real vacancy. I don't want to waste time on it if they really dont need a person.

Today I had my 2nd round interview with EY GDS and got rejected.
Do I need to worry about this and feel low?
Could EY GDS would have been better instead of OFSS?

I'm almost done with my master's and right now we are discussing the knowledge gap that happens in 4th grade with our lower-class students. They know or have the skills for how to read (for the most part) but seem not to be able to comprehend what they are reading due to the fact that they don't have background knowledge like their upper-class peers - which is due to life experiences. Have you noticed this in your classes? I have but didn't realize why it was so hard to catch them up.
