Hi, was hoping for a bit of guidance on the modus operandi of things.
Attended a panel at my university’s law school(in London, for context), heard from a very experienced associate who works in the field i’d like to get into. Didn’t get the chance to speak one-on-one. We happen to have the same name, come from the same country. Was a little starstruck by her lol, so kinda shy. Was hoping to connect with her over LinkedIn… ask to shadow her for a day. How would you go about it?

I feel like for client confidentiality purposes you wouldn't be able to actually shadow her? So maybe you'll have to settle for just getting coffee. But just message her. Being a lawyer we spend all day dealing with people with huge egos and clients who think we're the problem and the imposter syndrome is real so I'm sure she'd appreciate hearing from a genuine fan 😊

Fishes, I have a job title question. Does it matter if a role is in the same project with different titles? Example: SA, State and Local, Researcher vs SA, State and Local, Business Analyst. The job description makes it sound like they are the same project. However, Business Analyst does have more requirements/qualifications listed than Researcher. I’m coming from industry (3 YOE). Any insight is much appreciated! Thanks :)
