Are there benefits to staying at a consulting firm for more than a year if the exit opportunities offer more? Analytics consultant here, looking to be earning about 90k next year. I think I could make 120k in industry, but I could probably exit closer to 160 in about 5 years. Am I foolish for thinking it’d be better to stay given the learning opportunities?
Can anyone talk to me about their experience with Slalom Consulting? Years ago, I interviewed with them and it didn’t work out. Their benefits were okay-ish and during the interview for data analytics consultant position, I found it strange that they wanted to quiz me on simple SQL and Tableau features rather than how I used different tools to solve problems. I was looking to help a friend look for opportunities in the area and I found out that everyone who interviewed me left already
Few years healthcare research -> hospitality analytics consultant -> would rather go back to healthcare. Never had case interview b4, anyone willing to do a practice run w/ me b4 I start applying?
I’m currently an analytics consultant and very interested in the healthcare consulting space. What are the overlapping skills + skills to develop?
I’ve been promised a promotion since Jan. ‘22, and each month it seems to get “delayed because of finance issues with client” (huge multinational corp.) and other issues with in house HR/finance depts. I absolutely love my job, my boss, perks, benefits, & it’s all remote. I can’t shake the feeling I’m being led on. Last update they gave was Oct. now they’re saying it won’t be until Dec. I’d hate to leave but I feel like it’s the only way to move up. All thoughts/similar experiences welcome. Thx.
Omnicom folks — give it to me raw: benefits-wise, what’s the whole truth? Medical, PTO, so on and so on. Thanks!
Anyone here know anything about Unify Consulting? They reached about looking for senior roles to build their National Healthcare and Life Science vertical.
Is it possible to work 1-2 years as a junior associate at a super boutique doing a combination of fraud/abuse and transactional work in the healthcare space and then lateral to biglaw to practice securities law? I’m happy doing health law, but it’s not what I want to do long term and I worry the longer I stay in that space, the harder it will be switch to the kind of law I truly want to build a career in.
Have any of you seen significant benefits from a standing desk (weight loss specifically)?

State your firms retirement benefits...401k and so on. Accenture is 100% match up to 6%, but only after year 1.
How are you guys quitting over the holidays? Have a new job that starts jan 4 and I have planned vacation from dec 20-jan 4. 401k match is on dec 31. Want to give 2 weeks to allow for transition (trying to be nice but really don’t care)
Thoughts on working for TQL? Benefits?
If you live in a state that has WEP and GPO and you have your 40 quarters you may want to contact your congressmen. The social security fairness act is being voted on next month. Even if you don’t have your own ss, but are married, this will affect survivor benefits. I am not a fan of asking the government for anything free., I have earned this and should get it. I have met full retirement age and can get the ss that I earned. I have started taking it because it reduces to 1/3 in retirement

Does an MBA make sense for me? Making 150k tc, 25yo, wouldn't be trying to switch industries, would have to go into debt to pay for it. The only real benefits I would get is maybe an increase in salary and a network.
Hi UK 🐠: grateful if someone can share the comp range (base + bonus + any other benefits like stock options) at Director level at Capgemini Invent? TIA 🙏
I make 95k a year, paid off all my debt and now have ~40k in savings (not including 401k). Currently living at home and think I want to rent an apartment now. Was looking to buy but I’m not ready/don’t think I make enough to do so in a HCOL area. Take home pay is about $5k after taxes. Is it dumb to get an apartment with $1.8k in rent? I think I can afford it, but curious to hear thoughts from others.
Can you get MBA tuition reimbursement if you’re a Digital Strategy Analyst? Or, do you need to be baptized as a pure Strategy Analyst?
Any one make an exit to Tesla and willing to chat? Exploring an opportunity there in finance and just want to get a sense of company culture, benefits and the Fremont area.
Hello! I've thought about a sales or solutions engineer role for a while but I don't have any professional sales experience. Do you think it's feasible to obtain a position as a sales/solutions engineer without the prior experience? I am confident in my other transferable skills that would apply.

Getting married this summer and my fiancé’s family is expecting an extravagant wedding even though they’re barely paying for any of it...I can’t justify a 50k party. What is an average wedding?
I feel trapped in a job that I’m learning can’t do much for my career goals and that’s not giving me the type of experience to grow and hone my skill set. I’m scared of making another misstep that’ll move me farther away from my goal of working in big law. I feel lost and sometimes consider quitting this profession altogether. I love the law but the system is so fucked up and it’s really discouraging.

What are some good questions to ask a director/partner in a final stage consultant interview?
First-year associate here. For all those who have lateraled in this market, do you recommend I make the jump to a bigger law firm? I love my partner and enjoy the work, but the compensation is extremely low for comparable mid-size firms. I bill over the minimum billable requirements every month, and I’ve been told I’m a good associate and have good work product. Lately, it’s hard to feel motivated knowing that I’m billing as much as people making double what I make.

Any advice on getting me out of this slump would be greatly appreciated!
