How do you achieve billable work of 70-80 percent in summer? I am scheduled on a work and I don't know the engagement manager. Tried to search in teams. Maybe the person quit and staff board isn't updated. Shooter email to HR coordinator and no response. Digged some pending task of old client and accomplished 5 hours. But I want to do summer flex.

I ideally like to clock in 8 hours with 3 hours of non billable. I have plans for Friday so I don't want to punish myself for not getting the work. I usually try to reach out the previous week to the engagement manager but the firm holidays made me wait. This is common for staff level as every firm tries to allocate the work to people higher up the hierarchy at this point. It's frustrating at times.

I have personal accounts (under my SSN) and a business account (under a C corp's EIN) at a major bank. I opened new checking and IOLTA accounts for my new law firm (under a new EIN), accessible online via a new userid.

Now the bank has tied my new law firm's accounts to the C corp's EIN and userid. The bank's phone support people say I need to wait until tomorrow to visit the branch. Until then, the C corp's owners, bookkeepers, and systems can access the law firm's IOLTA and general accounts.
