Was at the beach with friends and had one really down day there where I didn’t feel happy at all. Since I got back 2.5 days ago I’ve done nothing but watch tv, sleep, and barely eat. I hate this

I’m sorry to hear this. Is there a good friend or family member you can talk to about this? Have you seen a therapist before? When I get down I make myself an easy to do list of 5 items. Just to get moving and feeling some small accomplishments. Also, exercise helps, even if it’s just a 20-minute walk.

I know. I saw a therapist when I was in college through the student health center. Hasn’t been bad enough since I graduated for me to cough up the cash. Start with some of the other suggestions and see if it helps.

PwC OP sounds like clinical depression. See a psychiatrist first, especially if you have depression in the family. Depression is common in high achievers. Nothing of which to be ashamed. Help is out there. Good luck!

I suffer from depression. Currently on 150mg Venafaxcine. It seems my depression is worse in the day and I come alive at night. Has anyone experienced this with or without Venafaxcine?

Reminder to everyone: use your 2021 vacation time. Don’t let it pass you by just because you’re not traveling. Take a long weekend once a month to nap and eat chips in sweat pants all day. We all need to do our part to normalize self care, and sitting at home doing “nothing” is just as worthy of a vacation day as pina coladas on the beach.

Earlier this year I was making $75k as an FA and now $90k as an SFA in OC which is pretty much market value (4yrs exp - 2 in B4).
