You don’t go from junior to senior. Get promoted to a mid level (copywriter) first. Then move up to senior.

Yep. Junior 1-2. Midlevel 1-4. Then senior
So many skills you have to learn it’s not just about ideas. Presentation, communication, strategy, leadership etc
Extremely under-qualified considering you don’t know there’s a step in between.

What do you think the time between jR and midlevel should be? And midlevel to SR
^that's the answer. No one jumps from junior to senior anything. You have to put the time in first. I'm not a copywriter, but I'd guess you need probably 5 YOE minimum to start getting considered for those roles.

Yep!!
I think 1.5 years is early for most “senior” roles unless your scope has been huge. That said, applying is fine. It shows you what’s out there. Maybe target mid‑level roles or look for a shop where titles are more flexible.

Say if they got the title at a shop where titles are flexible, do you think that would help or hinder the person to jump from JR to SR so fast?
