Same deal here, it's all lumped together. I get 24 days this year. It's enough that I can afford taking time off if I'm really sick, but if it's just a head cold, I'm not going to waste a PTO day on it. Hope you get feeling better soon!

Thanks!
Ours is separated, PTO and sick time. Weirdly enough, we get more sick time than PTO, and we can't use our sick leave for vacation, but we can use our vacation for sick time. It almost feels a little like a scam because they make it seem like it's all time off when we get hired. However it rolls over at the end of the year year. So if we still have three weeks of sick time, we just lose it.

That’s weird!
I feel very lucky in that we don't really have "sick leave," we kind of just let our team know if we're going to be out sick for the day, and our PTO isn't affected. I know a lot of companies don't have that option, but I think they should...it doesn't seem right to me that if you only receive limited PTO, they expect you to use it when you're sick too.

I agree with you!
