How often have MBB folks been asked about ratings during PE/Value creation interviews processes. Have you had to send your review memos? And have they typically asked for references?

What kinds of things do you do in commercial healthcare? If that’s a thing?

I’ve made it 5+ years in a NY M&A practice and have consistent exceeding expectations reviews. I’ve had a few mental breakdowns because of work during this time, but thankfully made it through. I’ve been in a near constant depressive/anxious state for family reasons for the last year and half, and am soon having my first kid. I’m scared shitless that I’ll spiral out of control both at work and at home if something doesn’t change soon. Any suggestions on how to keep this job and keep it together?

What would your reaction be if the company you applied to asked for you to get permission from your current firm before moving forward? I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up.
