HI GDS Folks
Need quick guidance....
I have 9.5 YOE already serving Notice period. Got offer for SAT TSE IT service line
1) I have got designation ASSOCIATE MANAGER Grade 42. Is it good for 9.5 YOE
2) current offer in hand is 25 LPA 22 fixed 3 variable. EY GDS offered 23.5 fixed + 10% bonus. Should I ask more?
3) I also asked for joining bonus as I will be joining in 30 days but HR declined. Should I bargain hard for joining bonus. If HR increase the offer that is 23.5 LPA?

Edward Jones advisor with 30 million AUM and roughly 250k gross production. Been there for almost 4 years. Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot.
Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.
Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.
I have 8 years of accounting experience, the first 5 in public accounting. Last year I got a promotion from senior to manager. I was extremely disappointed with my raise last year, I went from 90k to 100k. I expressed that disappointment at the time I was told, but I sucked it up.
Today I was given my 2021 salary. I got a 50% raise to 150k. I am over the moon. I basically the Controller now, finally paid what I want to make.
Stay focused on your goals ladies.
A few questions for anyone who works at Spark or Publicis media... is there any tag like GroupM’s “Partner” that should be negotiated upfront? Has anyone had any luck with a signing bonus? Any other insight would be much appreciated.

Having trouble navigating salary for a top end plaintiffs law firm salary for senior associate position (2012 grad). Mainly handling class actions and MDLs. I’ve only been in single events practice so it’s a whole new world salary wise. Any suggestions so as to what to ask for to not low ball myself? Thanks in advance!

How’s PWC in Madison? I’m expecting an offer there. How are benefits, wlb, pay. I heard everyone is working remotely, how long till youre expected back in office? PwC
I have never seen anyone display as much grace as Barbara Walters when her co-anchor (Harry Reasoner I think) was so dismissive and rude to her; she just smiled and kept doing her job. If I end up with even half that level of class, I will consider it to be a win
Considering an offer: I recently moved to the big4 at $155k + 20% (bonus likely to go down this next year due to covid but superbly secure job due to skillset). Job has been meh so far. A recruiter from a company I had applied to prior to moving to my current company reached out to me and I started interviewing for a c-suite role. Negotiated to $215k total comp. Is it worth moving or does it look bad to move so soon? Also unsure of how risky it is to move given the pandemic.
About to begin the recruitment process for BCG and am coming in from EY where I’m currently a manager. I have pretty good work life balance: 8 am to 7 pm and on fridays, I can sign off at 3 pm. People are great at EY but I know the work could be more interesting at BCG and also greater pay. Currently making $150k. Should I just stay put? What are the big draws of moving to BCG? I hear it’s crazy hours too…
My department had some turnover in leadership and I am meeting with my new lead for a 1:1. Any advice? I’m not as close to him as I was to our old lead, but now he is responsible for my promotion etc
I really let myself go over the last few years. I’d be happy with losing 10lbs but ideally I’d like to lose closer to 15-20lbs (small steps for now). My biggest problem is I’m SUPER soft (no tone/cellulite). I want to begin strength training to lost the fat but I’ve heard your body will retain water/weight when starting out. How long does this typically last?
Manifestos. Why are we still doing this wankery self-important trash? And why do some of us turn them into TV spots, VERBATIM. (Looking at you Diet Coke) can we move on already?
I started my firm recently (immigration) and am a true solo. I have experience in a few very specific case types and do lots of research, but don't have enough experience to easily strategize for each consult. I know this will come in time as I do more types of cases and have a background of knowledge to pull from, but I need to grow my business too. I think hiring a very capable paralegal would be the best option, but I'm paying myself 1k a week. I doubt I'd be able to pay an employee. Ideas?
Did you or anyone you know take less than the maximum paid parental leave? Particularly interested in biglaw. I feel like all the women I know have taken full leave, but most men did not. I actually find it offensive when a man doesn’t take full paid leave. First, you shouldn’t be voluntarily putting the burden on your partner. Second, you are perpetuating the idea that women are less reliable employees because of pregnancy and taking longer parental leaves. Thoughts?
Hi fam! My current employer is filing my green card. Given it will take about 18-24 months for an approved I-140; is there any downside to applying for a green card - for e.g does it limit my mobility to other employers and transfer of H1B if I am fired or want to leave in the two year window? Thank you in advance.
What are the best apps you’ve used for tracking your team’s travel? Particularly interested in flight tracking apps but open to all suggestions!
Is it a lot to ask of someone to pick them up from the hospital after surgery? (Not intense procedure but still requires anesthesia)
Hi all. Looking for advice. I’m trying to decide between 2 job offers (same salary) but different positions. One is a study director (essentially a project manager for a medical device company) and the other is in Quality Assurance (medical device company as well). Study director position company is slightly smaller but growing. I really want growth possibilities and a good career future. Any advice?
