I would ask my manager when he learned to write. Seriously, I'm not sure I understand the question. If you mean the manager would write someone up, like it was a disciplinary action, I suppose I'd try to work things out. I find corporate threats like that ridiculous, but that's what you have to deal with when you work in an organization. At some point you have to take it seriously, no matter how inane it seems.
Do you mean like, he's going to write you up, as and get you in trouble? Is he asking you to do things that are not part of your job description?
Yes
I'm assuming you mean he's going to write you up. I'm also assuming he's not asking you to do anything illegal or unethical. If that's true, I'm going to go ahead and do what he says. Hierarchies exist for a reason - he has the power to tell you what to do and reprimand you if you don't do it. If it's something unethical, illegal or against company policy, stand your ground and go to HR if necessary. Otherwise, fall in line or get written up.
What is it that he is telling you to do? I guess if he is writing you up for something he tells you to do that is literally your job, that would be warranted Otherwise, I would go to HR.
My assumption is as long as it’s not against policy or unethical, you should probably complete the requested task. Not sure why you would be threatened with being written up unless you challenged their authority? Seems as if there’s more to the story.
