My day has arrived. Today, I, a Tech Advisory Consultant, was smacked by a surprise afternoon layoff call. I was assured my PA review was nowhere near bottom 5%, but the machine of Accenture has inscrutable ways of determining High Performance.
Did BCW NY just layoff it’s EA staff?! Seeing a bunch of these names on Connect and very upset that great people were let go!
My boss got laid off at the beginning of this year and I’ve been doing both my job and his job on the agency’s largest account. (He was the account director) In searching his email for necessary...

Got laid off on Friday. Three days and I'm already bored out of my mind. Besides Jim, what are people doing to pass the time in between job hunting?
Who are usually let go first in an agency during layoffs? Is it the more junior or more senior?
CWs, how proficient are you in photoshop and id? I’ve always had a solid partner, but they have since been laid off so a lot of the comp work is now on my plate. Any good online classes to take? Thanks!
Hearing layoffs at Burnett?
Felling pretty depressed about being laid off. But then my $350 unemployment check came in the mail and took my depression to a whole new level.
I think leveraging an offer to get more money is the worst. Now your bosses know you want to leave, you are the fist option during layoffs and you look like an ass the other company.
Real hesitant about continuing the interview process with Accenture.. I keep seeing Accenture related layoffs in the bowl.
Chances I could tell my client to fuck himself without getting fired? Would only do it verbally, not via email.

Currently taking HR certification courses with Drexel and was planning to also do the pHR certification, but because I don’t have a degree in HR and I haven’t “formally” been working in HR, I don’t qualify, any suggestions on certifications that can help me develop my current office manager position into full HR?

My husband want to get into PM work in construction (Ideally WFH). Currently he’s doing lighting protection but has been very ambitious and deals a lot with multiple contractors on sites. He should be taking his Journeyman certification test early next year. Any advice for how he can make the shift into the PM world? He’s working to get his CAPM early March 2023 and should have his associates in business be the end of 2023. And advice is appreciated :)
Hello everyone, first post ever and I have a question for you. I left my previous job for a startup. I really enjoy what I do, but the lack of international perspective makes me want to look for something else as my goal has always been to work in many different countries.
It’s been almost a year and I am wondering if leaving a company after a year would eventually be perceived as a deal breaker for recruiters. I know it will mostly depends on my ability to sell myself.
What do you think?
How does your firm deal with underperforming associates? We are crazy busy but have a couple first-years on vacation, 50-100 hours per month, and thinking we are a "lifestyle" firm. I don't want to just fire them, at least not yet, but I want to see a change. How many second chances do you give? How many months under budget?
Guys, Which to join please please suggest

Does your company have a dedicated social media manager, or do they include social media as part of your job?
I need your help, y'all!
A female coworker has become super passive aggressive. I don't work with her often, she's in a different business unit, but we have to collaborate sometimes.
I can deal with her personally, kill them with kindness. However, she texted my direct report something aggressive, untrue, and frankly super unprofessional about me. He didn't feel comfortable sending me a screenshot, but he read it to me. He doesn't want it to come out that he told me.
What would you do?
That moment when you realize you can't send memes to your best friend because you said you're working but in reality you're just looking at memes😂
3rd year associate here. Any other 3rd (or 4th) years getting absolutely hosed by the IRS this year and owing the government money from moving up to a new bracket?
Working on my portfolio and even though I've been in marketing for 15 years, I realized I've never worked designing. Is this important when finding a new job?

1. As Business Analyst (non-technical profile but domain specific) in product based company.
2. As Data Analyst (technical which includes tableau, SQL, python) in considerably smaller company to above.
CTC is nearly same (Comp2 on a higher side)
Which one to choose as I'm not sure whether I should continue with non-technical BA (which has been my profile so far), or should explore technical (DA)?
