Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

This is actually extremely normal - they want to see you can do the role before the compensate you for it.
Also most companies only have 1-2 promotion cycles a year so you’ll probably be performing at the manager level for 6+ months before getting the title.
Most companies aren’t ethical or even logical, hope this helps.

Learn the stretch role, and switch companies. This way you can spend as little time to learn as you want, negotiate a higher pay elsewhere.
No. But it also ethically speaking, promote them when they show promise and consistency. Don’t make them do the job first. Let them grow into the job. But never have I seen a 1/2 raise.
This is very typical.
