Hi. I have 20+ years of experience both in consulting and in-industry. I have a contact at McKinsey that I connected with that is willing to make an introduction/referral for me. A few questions: 1). What level should I be targeting. I’m willing to take a lateral to a degree because. . .well, it’s McKinsey, but I don’t want to come in too low salary wise and somehow undercut the value of the experience and the roles I’ve already held (VP/DVP). As such - is Associate Partner too low? 2….

Looking into joining a small VC fund as a partner. First fund was very successful (3.5x after a couple of years). Second fund is going to be $100-150M. I’ll be the third partner and there’s a small staff of ~5-10 people right now.
