I am a full cycle bookkeeper with over 20 years experience including 8 years running my own bookkeeping business. After losing most of my clients to Covid and the passing of my spouse in 2024, I closed down. I have been searching for a position since the end of the 2025 tax season.

You may think that the reason I am not finding employment is because I am asking too much, which may be the case, but shouldn't be. I am willing to take 60k.

Most of the jobs are topping out at 50k

I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. I don’t anticipate any hiccups in the background check but is it wise to wait until the background check is complete before turning in my notice?

Can anyone recommend good investment options in Bank of America HSA account? I feel their funds are very limited compared to what I have seen from 401k and IRA. Anyone recommends your HSA account?
