I’ve had a few interviews where it felt like my age was the biggest issue, even though I had the right skills. It’s frustrating when people assume youth equals incompetence, which does make me wonder if that’s a subtle form of ageism.
Most of gen z is completely incompetent, it’s not that they’re young. WW2 was fought by boys younger than a lot of these grads!
My Great grandfather, grandfather and uncles who served were not pieces of meat they were heroes. Extremely disrespectful take.
Yea I would defintiely say that is still considered some sort of ageism and I do see that happening. We had a great applicant right out of college and they didn't want to hire her because she was young and immature. We talked my boss into hiring her and she has been one of our best employees yet.
