It’s always her against the world, so nothing ever changes in our department.
What really gets me is the hypocrisy. She recently reported me because I mentioned something that had already been openly discussed by multiple people in the office: a coworker was planning to leave, and one reason was that she wanted more hours. Apparently that crossed a line. I think part of it is because she trained this person and was one of the last people to find out. She also takes the most PTO and depends on coverage, so the departure affects her. It feels like everything comes back to her and her anxiety.
The irony is that this same Karen once told me someone else left the department because she felt she had to “babysit” another employee. But somehow when she speculates about why people leave, it’s fine. When someone else does it, it’s a problem.
At this point, I’m less annoyed by her behavior and more frustrated by the double standard. Has anyone else worked with someone like this?

That sounds incredibly annoying. I would do my best to avoid her as much as possible. I’m sure others are picking up on it as well.
If you call out her mistakes, she will look for things to retaliate over until the end of the earth.
There wasn't a question here, but, it sounds like you are wondering what to do. It appears she is not your supervisor, so why don't you discuss it with your supervisor?
