Do not say any of that. Easiest way to burn that bridge and is unnecessary. Be grateful for the opportunity and thank them whether you mean it or not.
Honestly, Indeed gave me all the interviews I’ve had for these positions
I once left for a job which paid less, but would allow me to have benefits such as health care. I did not give any other reason. Others at the job had health insurance through their parents so I did not bother to explain. I had been there a year and was not given raise as others were who did less work. I had excellent reviews by secret shoppers.
You can absolutely tell them that you received an offer you couldn’t refuse. That may prompt them to counter but if you’re leaving for other reasons and wouldn’t stay if they countered I would agree with the poster above and just thank them for the opportunity
That is right way!
Me hoping you aren’t on my team and leaving… be honest with your teammates, it may help them improve things on the team and for incoming staff?
Loll i hope not 🙃 where are you located?
Been wondering about this too. Our manager is incompetent, inexperienced and we have to make up for his lack of work. Additionally, other “colleagues” make work place harder. I want to state these things in my resignation with hope that they improve trainings and soft skills on those that been lacking and future employees. How else is management suppose to know and improve ? I too do not want to burn bridges
Keep it short and sweet thank them for their time and experience. You dont want to burn bridges and want to present yourself as a professional. No need to go into detail. I just resigned myself..could of been brutally honest but choose to be professional and move on..
Off topic, but how did you like being a CRC (asides from the pay)? I’m considering a position so your input would be appreciated:)
It takes time to break in. A lot of places want experience already. But some want to train a capable person from scratch. It’s best to frame your current experiences in a way that seems like you already do similar work or need similar skills
I know these reasons are true and could get you out easily but might cause you problems later on. Just to be safe, tell them that you got a better offer. That will cover the reasons you've just mentioned.
Rising Star
How much does your position earn? Just curious. As far as honesty, go with your gut feeling. If it can bite you in the ass, don’t do it. If it can’t, and you’ll be super satisfied dishing it to them, then do it. Life is short so either way is fine.
Sometimes saying less is more powerful.
Sometimes you gotta kick some ass.
Pick your path/destiny.
The position i just accepted is almost double what I’m making now lol. I’ll keep it light and sweet
There is no need to say that. They surely know that already. It can be left unsaid. You only need to say that you are moving on and thank them for the experience.
I would suggest being transparent, for those who follow you may benefit from your input now.
I would be honest. They can't improve if they don't know why people are leaving.
This is a big problem in clinical research. Sponsors are hiring experienced research coordinators from sites and paying them premium wages. However, these same sponsors to not want to provide enough funding to the site to attract and retain high quality research coordinators. Your manager already knows that pay was a deciding factor in your move and there is not much they can do about it.
What are the other reasons?
It is, but the other reason makes it very easy to leave
If you think your immediate leadership cares about improving you could give some professional honest feedback. Otherwise, I would say the bare minimum of I learned a lot. Thanks for the opportunity.
