Depends.. NorCal pays more than SoCal. Also depends on hospital. My friend was offered a job at ucsf for 30/hr

like

Depends on the health system. Some pay notoriously low. I had licensed folks working for $20/hr at one place in Fairfield, CA. Avg going rate is high 20s, low 30s.

like

Looks like around $32/hour.

If it’s a position that’s apart of a union, Kaiser starts at 31/33, then there’s shift differentials.

The title Dept Secretary- if apart of a union- starts at 32/34 @ Kaiser

Depending on the role, some places here start lower, like in the 20s or Minimum wage.

Most of the NorCal healthcare worker unions have the wages listed somewhere on their website.

Keep getting approached by rival firms for ~50% salary increases in London. Raised it with my company and got a 5% raise. Don’t want to sound ungrateful but doesn’t scratch the surface of the underpayment of where I am, it’s well below market rates. Manager hinted at getting an offer which they could counter could help but, I can’t see them matching 45-55% I could get elsewhere. Like the work and culture here and salary isn’t everything, but unsure how to approach this. 26 YO with 2.5YOE.

I work at st Christopher’s hospital for children in Philadelphia PA. And RD starting salary is $61,000. I think this is very poor for having a specialty and going thru 5-8 years of schooling with 3.5 years experience. Healthcare corporations… please note you have more then 1 shift of workers. You have 3 most times, each shift has to be treated equally. This is and always have been an issue, and you cannot figure out why the other shifts refuse to be active and participate in anything and definitely not engaged anymore.
