I am reaching out to you all and am looking forward to break into Investment Banking from Consulting. Applied to Goldman Sachs via a referral but my resume is stuck after HireVue. Talked to the VO who referred me and he said Goldman doesn’t hire in Q4. If that’s true and still need to be in GS, can someone forward my resume directly to the team? Their career portal sucks. TIA Goldman Sachs PS: I promise a dinner in a dance place in NY after I get hired as a sign of my gratitude 🙈

I’d just say that it hasn’t been refreshed in a while, and that you have the most up-to-date information on your resume. I think it’s normal for them to check, but also probably normal that not everyone keeps their profile current.
An update from this situation: Told them that I haven't refreshed my Linkedln profile in a while, but the resume has the most up to date information. I had this conversation days ago. At the end, was told I'd be meeting with HR to go over paperwork - 5 days later no response and no call back. Very curious.
I would have said just as you did here, that your most up-to-date information can be found on your resume. With that being said, even though I hate Linkedin myself, I would highly recommend you keep it updated. It doesn't take long, and it is almost considered a requirement when job hunting.
The only kind of relationship that has any ability in moving forward must be built on a solid corner stone laid correctly and to lay it correctly it takes a relationship built on trust that only happens for honesty. And honestly it also takes people owning where they're wrong saying they're sorry if they need to backing you up with actions showing they won't do it again that way they know exactly what they're getting with this person they know that they're committed to ethical actions and with trust established. something solid and sustainable can be built. without it you might as well be trying to build on quicksand cuz lies and dishonesty and deceit ever build anything
